Recovery Act funds are allowing Department of Energy contractor CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company to build a new groundwater treatment system near the Columbia River to remove hexavalent chromium from the groundwater. The system includes several wells, piping, and treatment facilities that will pump the water from the ground, clean it, and return it to the aquifer.
