Watch Sharon & Ken have a relaxing, fun afternoon fishing for little smallmouth bass at Teetertown Nature Preserve. Located about 2.5 miles outside of Califon, in Lebanon Township NJ, the Teetertown Preserve offers camping & has two ponds that are really a great place to take the kids if you`re looking for a place where they`ll easily catch fish! They won`t be the biggest fish(although I have heard there are some big ones in the larger pond!), but they`ll have a blast catching soo many! *Here`s the park details & information from their website; Park Description: Named after John Teeter, the builder of a nearby mill complex [c. 1810], the 539-acre Teetertown Preserve (formely known as Teetertown Ravine Nature Preserve) is one of the most significant natural areas in Hunterdon County. A narrow dirt road surrounded by dense woods leads into a ravine along a twisting stream, with its waters cascading over rocks. The steep sides of the ravine, with its large boulders and rock outcroppings, contribute to the sense of solitude. The Mountain Farm section of the preserve has two ponds and several fields. It also contains a stone farmhouse built in 1818. The park visitor center offers educational nature films. The 233-acre Crystal Springs section is comprised of mature forest, active farmland, meadows, ponds, and the headwaters of the Spruce Run Creek in Hunterdon County.
